Its three apartments have been designed in such a way that each one has privacy and seclusion but with easy access to the exquisite gardens and large swimming pool and sun deck. In the July/August high season, it’s the perfect place for extended families or several family groups wanting to holiday together – each family has their own space but can come together for fun in the heated pool or al fresco dining in the barbecue area. With lots of outdoor adventure activities on tap too – canoeing, horse riding, cycling and climbing, you certainly don’t need to worry about keeping the kids entertained.
Outside of the school holidays, the pace becomes less frenetic and Mas Clementine plays host to couples and friends looking for that combination of wonderful location, luxury accommodation and beautiful grounds. Whatever draws them to Mas Clementine, all our guests appreciate the care and attention that has gone into the sensitive refurbishment of what was once a rural silk worm store. Owners Keith and Annie Child fell in love with the place even in all its tumble-down glory and that love inspired a remarkable renovation project. Today the three-foot thick walls, amazing stonework and vaulted ceilings are the only clues to its former history. The skilled local artisans, masons and cabinet-makers took their dreams and created a truly sublime reality. Now you’ll find the best in cool, contemporary style – clean lines, fresh decor, terracotta floors, modern lighting – and rooms with the wow factor: hand-crafted kitchens boasting American fridge-freezers, and an array of appliances from Bosch, Whirlpool, Moulinex and Dualit; sumptuously tiled bathrooms with generous baths, walk-in showers and double basins; spacious sitting rooms with comfy sofas, cable TV, DVD players and Wi-fi; and inviting bedrooms with fine linens, hi-grade mattresses and colourful bedspreads.
