With its yellow colour scheme, you’ll understand why this apartment is named after the French word for buttercup!
Spacious, light and airy, it is the largest of the four, stretching to some 140 square metres of internal space plus as additional terrace of 30 sq m. This overlooks the stunning wooded hillsides and private gardens which include the 13 x 6 metre swimming pool.
The renovation of the stone farmhouse, some of which dates back to the 14th century, has been tasteful and respectful, with some rooms still displaying the traditional coved ceilings.
The large hand-painted Provencal kitchen is fully fitted with an American fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven and hobs and a microwave oven. Plenty of cupboards and work surfaces lead to the dining area where a traditional French oak dining table can seat up to 14 people – perfect for those long leisurely dinners. A large patio door leads on to the terrace.
There are two lounges. One has a sofa and two armchairs, a log burning fireplace and cable TV showing programmes in several languages, including English. There is also a hi-fi and DVD player. This lounge leads on to the interior courtyard.
The other lounge has a table and 4 chairs and a sofa which can easily adapt to two singles or one double bed. Sliding patio doors lead on to the terrace.
The master bedroom has a king-sized 4-poster bed with bedside tables, a large wardrobe and a separate dresser. A door leads on to the terrace. From the bedroom you step straight into the en suite bathroom where you can take a shower in the open style shower area or bathe in the large corner bath. As well as a WC there is a bidet and double sinks to ensure absolute luxury and comfort.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 lie next to each other and face the second bathroom. Each of the bedrooms contains a queen-size double bed which can also be separated into two single beds, if required. A large wardrobe and bedside tables are also supplied in each room. Both bedrooms have a view overlooking the gardens.
The second bathroom has a shower area, a large corner bath and two sinks. A separate WC is situated adjacent to the bathroom.
The terrace is fully tiled and contains a large table and 8 chairs. When relaxing or dining on the terrace, shade is provided by a purpose built tiled awning.
